We wrote a valentine to someone that is special to us.
Then, we ALL worked together to make the BIGGEST valentine ever, just like the story 'The Biggest Valentine Ever'. We had so much fun! I loved hearing my kiddos talk about working together and how much fun they had.

We have been working a lot on addition and subtraction. We practiced combining both addition and subtraction and sorting them in a flip book.
We also completed an addition and subtraction true or false page.
We talked about the qualities of a good friend and placed them on a chart (forgot to take a picture!) Then, I put all of my students name in a basket. Each student picked out a name and wrote about that friend.
We read 'Froggy's First Kiss'. I stopped after Froggy made a valentine and had my students predict who they think he made his valentine for.
After I finished reading, they drew a picture and wrote who the valentine was actually made for.
We practiced counting by 10's to 100!
We made an addition lady love bug.
We ate Hershey's hugs and kissed and decided which one we liked better. We made it into a pie graph.

We played broken heart addition with M&M's
We had a blast with doing 'musical tables sentence unscramble'. I placed different words/sentences on each table. Students would walk around with their group and when the music stopped they had to stop at a table and unscramble the words to make a complete sentence. They recorded their sentences that they made.
We finished writing about different things that we love and turned it into a 3D writing craft.
We made different words using the letters in 'valentine'.
We played sight word bingo with a twist. Students were in charge of making their own bingo card before we started.
We made these cute bags from Jen's Kinder Kids to place our cards in.
